Street address: Via Salastrains

City: Sankt Moritz

A establishment known far and wide in the middle of a skiing area. Here the rich and famous meet over caviar and champagne in the elegant La Marmite.
It's a little more casual in the lively "Brasserie"
Hier stehen hell und zeitgemäss gestaltete Zimmer verschiedener Kategorien bereit, teilweise zum See hin gelegen. Saunabereich mit kleiner Dachterrasse in der obersten Etage.
Very expensive, but great food and atmosphere. Owners host everyone and it's really nice.

Great food, very friendly staff and a great place to eat for lunch while skiing. We enjoy coming to Rest. Salastrains every time we ski in St. Moritz.

went there on a afternoon coffee some weeks ago ... very few people there, it almsost seemed closed. The menu looked very nice but also very expensive, looking forward to try some of it the next...

Salastrains is one of the best hotels and restaurants of St Moritz close to the slopes. We had a couple of fantastic lunches on the terrasse, facing magnificent mountains and eating good food while wrapping ourselves in their warm couvertures when it was starting to get colder. The population is a mix of people who ski and stop for a good lunch, and non-skiers who go there for a long lunch, with a good wine and often a cigar (those tended to have wives with big fur coats). They were very nice with children and overall very friendly. It is not cheap (it’s St Moritz right) but it is good - if not spectacular - Italian food, and the combination of the view, the proper gastronomic experience and the good service make this place a “must” for your next trip to St Moritz. There is also a hotel with rooms priced around CHF200-250.
